Vision for Discover India 2017

India is a land of celebrations. Being an agrarian economy, India (and Indians) understand the importance of Mother Earth’s natural cycles. The earth renews itself through the cycle of seasons, and every season helps maintain the delicate balance of the natural ecosystem. It is through this renewal that we find sustenance and growth. Therefore, Indians welcome and celebrate each new season with festivals that mark the changes in the natural world. This November, we invite you to experience all four seasons Indian style!

The Discover India zone will encompass four distinct areas – Spring, Summer/Monsoon, Fall and Winter. Each area will showcase (via booths, poster sessions and exhibit set ups) festivals that are celebrated annually during that season. Notably, the exhibits and booths will showcase the unique regional flavors whereby each region/state celebrates the festivals.
